Some Chick-fil-A loyalty members may have had their personal information exposed following a recent cyberattack, the company said.
The company confirmed that it “identified suspicious login activity” that may have affected some Chick-fil-A One accounts.
“Upon discovering the issue, we took steps to immediately address, secure, and restore accounts, and we are communicating directly with all customers who may have been impacted,” it said in a letter to customers.
Chick-fil-A apologized for any concern the incident may have caused and said it remains committed to protecting customers’ information.
According to a letter sent to affected customers, the incident impacted residents in nine states and Washington, D.C. The included states are Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont. Other outlets are reporting that more than 2,000 accounts in Texas were also affected.
