US officials have figured out a location in the Northeast where unexplained glowing orbs frequently appear in the night sky, putting them on the verge of solving a longstanding UFO mystery.
The site’s existence, determined following a tip from a local resident and repeated visits by FBI agents, is being disclosed Friday as part of a third tranche of UFO files released pursuant to President Trump’s February declassification order.
The precise location is still being kept a secret.
The sightings began in 2021 and have continued at irregular intervals, but the information released Friday is significant because the resident who reported the sightings to the FBI in October 2024 is considered credible and recorded footage on his cellphone of the orbs — including them appearing to replicate.
Four videos were provided to the FBI and are being released in the latest cache.
